The Most Precious Gift

As a child growing up with three brothers, Christmas was always a special time in our home. Traditions like a special Christmas breakfast with soft boiled eggs and a stunning tree with angel hair on it, made for wonderful memories for me.

Today, it’s not about the tree, although it is sight to behold thanks to Margaret; it’s not about a special breakfast, even though God always provides; it is all about a precious baby born in a manger in Bethlehem.

Jesus could have come into the world in so many different ways as He is God incarnate. There were no limitations for God. Yet, He chose for Jesus to be born of a woman, and to grow up as a Jewish child experiencing all the range of emotions that we humans go through.

Jesus would go on to teach us about the pillars of the Advent Season; hope, joy, peace and love! And we would be forever amazed by the greatest story ever told, the Good News of Jesus Christ!
Luke 2:13 Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, 14 “Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.” Isn’t it wonderful to know that God has continued to care about our lives today and for eternity?

As Jesus extends to us the most precious gift, eternal life with God, how will you share your gifts with humanity? Spending time with the Holy Spirit will help you decide what to share and when to share it with others.

God bless you and keep you; may the Lord shine His radiant face upon you and give you peace.
In Christ’s love,

Pastor Jeff
